I Hope

I Hope

Acrylics

24" x 36"

A colorful drawing of three houses with open space in the front and dark branchless trees in the backgroud

Description

I painted this image without a plan, just following the idea of wanting to paint to calm myself and adding to it over some weeks. In it I found I was including my gratitude for my safe home, for my friends and family, for those who have helped me and those I can help, and most of all my hopes for a better world, one of caring and kindness, for my expected first grandchild. She was born in late July after I finished the painting, but to me she represents the future, as this painting came to do for me.
