Things We Take For Granted

Things We Take For Granted

Wood, Exterior Paint

7'x4'

A compilation of small wood blocks composed to form two people of different races hugging

Description

The mental health aspect of the current global pandemic is a huge problem. People are struggling daily without being able to hug their loved ones. This sculpture not only addresses the longing for close social interaction, but also relates to the BLM movements relevant today. The piece is a reminder to live in the moment and not to take anything in life for granted.
