We are living history. What will matter most is resilience. Amidst the backdrop of a pandemic, I want my kids to remain joyful. Yes, my heart aches for what is happening in our country and around the world. Yes, I get angry thinking about how we could have been better prepared for this pandemic. But those are beyond my circle of influence. What I can control is my response and how I model that response for my kids. My 4-years-old, I hope, will look back and think fondly of this period at home, playing and learning while building a foundational bond with his built-in best friend.
