Springtide Comes in the Time of COVID–19
Spring rains fall on butter-hued daffodils
That no one pauses to admire.
Warming breezes ruffle bud-laden limbs,
But no one bears witness.
The damp air is heady with vernal petrichor,
Yet our masks filter this redolence, too.
