I painted this over two months after the pandemic began. While I painted, I was listening to the live stream of our governor discussing the horrible tragedy of George Floyd’s death and the resulting protests. This painting reflects my sorrow and isolation in the face of such huge and overwhelming events. It also reflects my hope for a brighter future ahead after these painful storms.
