With the lockdown, many have found refuge in daily walks through nature, either in our neighborhoods or local woodlands. This triggered a renewed interest in wildlife, especially the vivid songbirds in our area of southeastern PA. These walks made a vivid impression on me and inspired an entire series of avian oil portraits.
