During COVID-19, we are challenged by separation from our friends and family. Zoom has become the primary platform for connection. We wanted to explore other forms of connection, specifically through art, so we decided to create a joint piece. Lauren (MS1) painted using watercolor and Daniella (MS4) wrote to Lauren’s work. Together, we explored our emotions and identities as medical students that can fluctuate from day to day. We hope to learn as a community to embrace these ebbs and flows—as this is what it means to be human.
