Talley Fisher is the Senior Research Artist for The SciArt Group, a dual position with the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences and the Institutes of Energy and the Environment.  She was previously the Huck’s first Artist-in-Residence, collaborating on an interdisciplinary project that culminated in an interactive exhibit (‘The Zombie Ant Experience’), combining physical artwork, augmented reality and award-winning life science research on zombie ants.  The intricate metal sculpture details the life span of a parasitic fungus that infects ants, complete with an augmented reality overlay that lets you step into the world of the zombie ants. Talley is also an internationally known sculptor who specializes in large-scale suspended sculptures for healthcare facilities, airports, hotels, and private companies or residences. Each of Talley’s sculptures is a simultaneous reflection of her wild admiration for nature and innate appreciation for materials and machines, the literal nuts and bolts, which allow her to push the limits of imagination in every piece she creates. She earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the State University of New York at Oswego.
